The Sounds of Silence
We live in a very noisy world, from cars to radios, videos to videos games, the bustling of people, machinery and air conditioning. When was the last time you stopped to enjoy the sounds of silence, the sounds of nature?
Dr. Wayne Dyer states: "These man made unnatural sounds invade our senses and keep silence at bay".
Being alone in silence should not feel like torture. Take 10-15 minutes today and sit in silence, pay attention to your breathing and your heart beat and the serenity you are certain to experience. If at first it feels frightening keep doing it everyday until you learn to embrace the silence and discover it's value for your health and well-being.
