Dear friends of The 1-Minute Motivator,
As many of you know, I have not been extremely well in the past few months. A decrease in physical health, certainly appears to affect our psychological and emotional health. In those times it is most important to tap into our innate forces. I certainly felt that I was out of flow and worked to refocus my life on my purpose:
If that ever happens to you, here are some of the techniques that you could utilize to refocus your life:
Relax - When we are out of the flow our body and mind are certainly wound up in. Our anxiety level is high and our body very tense. It is imperative that we learn to relax to tap into our inner self, where all answers lie.
Center yourself - Different people discover different techniques to help them re-center their focus. From meditation to reading a good book, taking relaxed walks in nature and learning to see the perfection that exists in our environment, sitting quietly to get in touch with our inner feelings of discontent, these all techniques that are defective for in helping us achieve peace.
Regain the trust - Remind yourself that, we create our own reality. We are in control of our thoughts, words, actions, and therefore our feelings.
Exercise - When we are out a flow, our energy level is low and it is therefore imperative that we develop an exercise régime that will allow us to rediscover our energy. Start slowly, and stay committed to performing 20 to 30 minutes of exercise daily.
Reflection - Take a good look at what is working, and what is not working in your life. Once you are relaxed and trusting, your direction will become clearer. Pay attention to the little voice that speaks to you, your intuition.
Gratitude - Remind yourself that life is a joyous occasion. Experience happiness in the present and think about the things that you love, the people that you love and of those that love you.
Thoughts - My mentor always reminded me that a thought plus an action equals a feeling. If you want to be in charge of your feelings, you must control the thoughts that you allow into your mind and act accordingly.
Identify your goals and action steps - When having difficulty identifying your goals and required actions, consider hiring a coach to support and encourage you and help you figure out the patterns of your life. Keep an open mind and consider all possibilities.
