Acknowledge Your Accomplishments
As you move ahead in your life, you will experience successes and perhaps some setbacks. Be aware of your inner and outer critics. If you allow criticism to dominate your thinking patterns, you will often be convinced that you are a failure and therefore overlook the many successes that you have achieved in your life. It is important each week to spend time reviewing your accomplishments. Every evening, take a few minutes to write your accomplishments of the day and focus on reasons you have to be grateful for your day. Writing in a gratitude Journal is a wonderful exercise that will allow you to positively influence how you view each and every day for the rest of your life. Those few minutes of a focus will allow you to experience peace and serenity, helping you achieve a more restful sleep therefore awakening in a state of gratitude. During those days when you have difficulty discovering reasons to be grateful, open your Journal and read some of the previous entries. That will then bring you back to gratitude.
