Every Breath You Take
When was the last time you took notice of your breathing? They say that life is not measured by how many breaths we take, but by how many moments we live that take our breath away. If you have not noticed your breathing, how will you know when you are living a moment that truly takes your breath away. Often people only realize what they have had when they lose it. Let's make a focused decision to pay attention to our breathing. Take 4-5 deep breaths with your eyes closed right now and experience your surroundings. What are you feeling, what are you seeing, hearing and smelling? Appreciate the discovery and decide to take those few moments everyday in good times and challenging times. Be grateful for your ability to take a few seconds and increase your awareness of who and what surrounds you. Breathing does not only keep you alive, breathing awareness adds life to your years and years to your life.
